Two of our projects were awarded at Infrastructure Bulgaria Awards 2016
Оn 23 February 2016 in Sofia, the first prizes for outstanding contribution to the development of Bulgaria’s infrastructure were bestowed within the initiative INFRASTRUCTURE BULGARIA AWARDS 2016.
Consortium “Geometro B.P.”, with Geostroy AD as a leading partner and Geotechmin OOD and Metroproekt ООD as members, received a special prize in the category “Metropolitan Transport Infrastructure” for building Business Park Sofia Metro Station.
The project “Struma Motorway, Lot 2, Dupnitsa – Blagoevgrad Road Section” was honoured by winning the first prize in the category “Transport Road Infrastructure”. The contractors of the project are GBS-Infrastructure Construction and Patstroy-92.
The awards were presented by Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.
The initiative was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Ministry of Environment and Water. The City Media Group organized the event. 48 projects, which had been executed in the period 2013 – 2015, were nominated. A thirty-member competent jury comprising representatives of leading professional, academic and sectoral organizations determined the awards in 8 categories for the best projects implemented and put into operation within this period.
The following key criteria were used for project evaluation: social, economic and environmental impact on improving the life of local residents, complexity of project design and high quality in project execution, sustainability and relevance.
