Two Business Homoris Causa Awards for Geotechmin Group and Ellatzite-Med
GEOTECHMIN GROUP won the Grand Business Honoris Causa Award for the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, founded by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov. The award falls within the category Investment in Quality of Life and was presented at a special ceremony organized by 24 Chasa daily newspaper on 17 March 2022. Ellatzite-Med AD received an award in the category Support for Local Communities. The initiative aims to promote good practices in the sphere of corporate social responsibility. The winners received a statuette (Caduceus ˗ the symbol of creative power) and an appreciation certificate.
‘Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme was established in 2018 at the initiative of Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov and the companies Geotechmin OOD, Ellatzite-Med AD, Geostroy AD and Geotrading AD. Two years later, under the challenging conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, GEOTECHMIN GROUP decided to increase the programme scope by rendering support to five municipalities ˗ Etropole, Mirkovo, Chavdar, Chelopech and Zlatitsa for joint implementation of projects with significant positive impact on local communities. We have renovated schools and hospitals, opened modern health centres and built new energy efficient lighting systems. We help where help is needed. It is important for us not only to advance our business, but also to improve the regions where we operate, to enhance quality of life and contribute to a sustainable future,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD upon receiving the award from Mrs Venelina Gocheva, Publisher of 24 Chasa Daily. Under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, GEOTECHMIN GROUP is currently providing emergency accommodation to Ukrainian families who are fleeing their homeland due to the war in Ukraine.
Ellatzite-Med AD won an award in the category Support for Local Communities for its numerous social initiatives aimed at improving local people’s life in the municipalities where it operates. The award was presented by Mr Stamen Yanev, Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency to M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov, Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med, who thanked for the high honour, ‘This award evidences that our consistent efforts in the social sphere in the region where we operate have been noticed and appreciated. We will continue investing in social projects and environmental protection. I assure you that this is one of our top priorities.’

Among the official guests attending the event were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadjov, Deputy Prime Minister Korneliya Ninova, Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer, Minister of Agriculture Ivan Ivanov, Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov, and Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Denkov. At the event, Ellatzite-Med AD was also represented by M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov, General Director Production.
