The rehabilitation of Trastenik – Orehovitsa Road has been launched

On September 18, 2012 the rehabilitation of road III-3004 Trastenik – Orehovitsa – road III-137 was launched. The project is implemented under Operational Programme “Cross-Border Cooperation Romania – Bulgaria 2007-2013” and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The road section is 17 km long and it is located in Pleven Municipality. The route passes through the town of Trastenik and partially through the village of Orehovitsa. The project includes asphalt repair and rehabilitation of the drainage system and three large bridges. The construction works are executed by Consortium “Trastenik 2012” with Patstroy-92 AD being the leading partner. Roads and Equipment EAD is among the other partners in the consortium. The project must be completed within 12 months.
The first sod was turned in the town of Trastenik by architect Boyko Baltakov – deputy governor of Pleven and dipl. eng. Hristo Petrov – project coordinator from Road Infrastructure Agency.
