Prof. Dsc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov was conferred The Honour Badge of Hristo Yasenov Secondary School
At a special event on the eve of 24 May, the Mayor of Etropole Dimitar Dimitrov and the Headmaster of Hristo Yasenov Secondary School Mila Mancheva awarded Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov with the school’s highest recognition – Badge of Honour. It was bestowed on the President of Geotechmin OOD or his great support over the years and for the successful completion of the school renovation project creating an improved learning environment for 730 students. As tokens of appreciation, certificates were presented to the benefactors providing the project’s donations: M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov – Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med AD
, PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geotrading AD, and PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov – Executive Director of Geostroy AD
The repair works were executed in accordance with the Framework Agreement signed between the four companies and Etropole Municipality in 2020 under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme of GEOTECHMIN GROUP. This is the first one of the social impact projects assigned by the municipality and supported by donations from the companies.
With the song “One Bulgarian Rose”, students gladly welcomed the official guests – Mr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Mayor of Etropole Municipality, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov, Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med AD – into the newly renovated school building.
The Mayor of Etropole Dimitar Dimitrov greeted the guests and added, “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Prof. Voutov for the investment made by GEOTECHMIN GROUP, which has been the most precious gift to the school on the occasion of 24 May – the Day of Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture. I am deeply convinced that when the teachers caring for children’s spiritual growth, the Bulgarian business and the municipality join their efforts, the results are already visible.’
‘I wish to thank all the companies in GEOTECHMIN’s big family for the helping hand and empathy offered by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov, PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov and PhD Eng. Ivan Vutov. We are very pleased with the work that has been done to renovate the central heating installation, the school covered walkway, the roof of the boiler room, the steam traps at the swimming pool, and the replacement of the old gym floor with brand-new oak wood floor …,’ said Mrs Mila Mancheva. She compared the donation with the support given to Bulgarian education during the National Revival. ‘Today the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme is an inspiring example not only for the companies that are willing to donate, but also for each and every one of us,’ she added.
Mrs Mancheva also expressed her appreciation to the contractor and the subcontractors for the professional execution of the repair works.
Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov thanked for the high honour with the words, “We from GEOTECHMIN GROUP have always responded to any request for help where and when needed. The decision to renovate the school, which we took jointly with the municipality, aims to create better conditions for a more productive learning environment. For us, supporting education and young people has been a major cause. We work here, we create jobs, the children of our employees, workers and managers who are growing up in Etropole study in these schools and we would like to provide the best possible learning environment for them.’
Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov extended his profound gratitude to the Mayor Mr. Dimitrov, to the school’s headmaster – for her inspiring ambition and dedicated work, and to the builders – for the successful completion of the project.
The hosts proudly showed the results of the major overhaul: the new gas-fired boiler room and fully renovated steam installation providing optimal heating and comfort for students and teachers in all school premises and the dormitory, radiators with thermostatic valves, numerous improvements in the school gym and in the indoor swimming pool area, etc.
