GEOTECHMIN GROUP supported three projects in Mirkovo Municipality under a Framework Agreement signed with the Mayor Mrs Tsvetanka Yotina on 18 November 2020. According to the contract, the companies Geotechmin OOD, Ellatzite-Med AD, Geostroy AD and Geotrading AD undertake to support the municipality in implementing significant community service projects for the local population in the region of their main economic activities. The initiative of GEOTECHMIN GROUP is tailored to respond to local needs related to the socio-economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first donation under this contract was the purchase and delivery of a new garbage collection machine for the needs of Mirkovo Municipality. It is fitted with a Euro 6 engine and meets all European standards for this particular type of vehicle. Putting the new machine into operation has substantially improved the waste collection cycle in the municipality. Before that, the previous refuse collection truck had often broken down, thus causing waste disruptions in the region.

The second project of Mirkovo Municipality supported by the Group was the replacement of the street lighting system in the village of Benkovski. On the eves of Christmas holidays, the village streets were illuminated by 120 brand-new LED lighting fixtures. The renovated street lighting installation has ensured higher safety and energy efficiency on the territory of the village.

Furthermore, GEOTECHMIN GROUP rendered support to a project for reclamation of a municipal solid waste landfill in the village of Smolsko.

According to the Framework Agreement, the founders of Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme will continue to support other key projects and socially-beneficial initiatives for the local communities. The programme was initiated by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov in 2018 and was embraced by the aforesaid four companies with great enthusiasm and dedication.
