Geotechmin Group signs a framework agreement with Zlatitsa Municipality to support priority projects
A framework agreement was signed between the Mayor of Zlatitsa Municipality and Geotechmin OOD, Ellatzite-Med AD, Geostroy AD and Geotrading AD at an official event held on 22 April 2021 in the town of Zlatitsa. The contract stipulates that the above-mentioned four companies, which are part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, undertake to support projects of key importance for local communities under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme.
The agreement was signed by M. Eng. Stoyan Genov – Mayor of Zlatitsa Municipality, Mr Dominic Hamers – Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD, and M. Eng. Dragomir Draganov – Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med AD. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Municipal Council M. Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov, and other official guests.
The Mayor of Zlatitsa M. Eng. Genov expressed his profound respect and heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of the citizens of the municipality, for the contribution made by GEOTECHMIN GROUP. ‘We are a good example of successful partnership among the municipalities in Bulgaria. As a municipality, we are grateful for what the Group and the four companies have been doing for increasing the social welfare in Zlatitsa and the whole Srednogorie region.’ He also added, ‘As for the partnership offered to us by GEOTECHMIN GROUP, our Municipal Council unanimously decided to use this support for our town’s most urgent need – replacement and renovation of the water supply system and asphalting of streets.’
M. Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov, Chairman of the Municipal Council, emphasized that the companies have always supported the municipalities of Srednogorie region and now, by signing this agreement with Zlatitsa Municipality, they contribute significantly to improving the quality of life and well-being of its residents.
‘Since the inception of the programme, GEOTECHMIN GROUP has increased its investments in the spheres of education, infrastructure and improving the quality of life for local communities. In 2020, we offered assistance to the municipalities in the region where Ellatzite-Med operates to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic and anticipated consequences. We strongly believe that we must lend a helping hand when and where it is most needed,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD.
‘The support we are providing to the municipality of Zlatitsa is of key importance for the town’s development and gives one more evidence of the companies’ socially responsible policy,’ said M. Eng. Dragomir Draganov, Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med AD.
Zlatitsa is the fifth municipality where the Group finances social impact projects under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme. In the municipalities of Mirkovo, Etropole, Chavdar and Chelopech such projects have already commenced. They are being implemented in the spheres of healthcare, education, improving the quality of life, etc.
