Geostroy AD, which is part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, was appointed the contractor of a project for reconstruction, overhaul, renovation and extension of an existing building at the American College of Sofia (ACS). The construction works commenced with an official groundbreaking ceremony on 21 September 2016.

For the first time since 1930s, such a substantial project has been implemented on the territory of the College campus. It has been made possible thanks to the America for Bulgaria Foundation, which provided nearly $8.6 million toward the project, amounting to 80% of its total cost. The remainder was raised with the extraordinary support of the American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) program of USAID and other private and institutional donors who have made possible this transformational project through their most generous gifts and grants.

Geostroy AD was appointed the contractor of this project after participating in a multistage open tender procedure. The construction works are scheduled to take 14 months. The new student center will include a library/media center, new performing arts auditorium, cafeteria, other new facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning, and will offer ACS students the chance for highest-level educational, extracurricular and entertainment activities corresponding to their impressive academic achievements in Bulgaria and abroad.
