On August 31, 2012 the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso officially opened the second metro line of Sofia Metro. President Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Mayor of  Sofia Yordanka Fandakova and other official guests attended the ceremony.

The second metro line includes 11 stations. Geotechmin is the chief designer and contractor of the constructions of the latest station James Bourchier Metro  Station 11-II, located under Cherni Vrah Boulevard. The subsidiary company Geostroy has executed part of the reinforcement works, formwork and concrete works on these constructions.
