The International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) has published its annual newsletter TRIBUNE for the year 2008. The focus is on the underground construction in India where this year's World Tunnel Congress and 34th ITA General Assembly is taking place.

The bulletin contains ITA members' reports for the year 2007. The report on Bulgaria mainly describes the activities of Geotechmin OOD which currently is the only official Bulgarian member of the association. Geotechmin is presented as a prospering private company and a leader in the specialized metro and tunnel construction in Bulgaria.

The report recognizes the active participation of Geotechmin in the organization of various events in the field of underground engineering thus contributing to the cooperation between the business world and the institutions both at national and international level. In the long run this will have a positive effect on the forthcoming creation of a national organization which will represent Bulgaria in ITA.
