New cars donated to Zlatitsa Municipality through Bulgarian Virtues Programme
GEOTECHMIN GROUP donated a new waste collection truck and an all-terrain vehicle to Zlatitsa Municipality through Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme. The funds were provided by Geotechmin, Ellatzite-Med, Geotrading, and Geostroy.
Mayor M.Eng. Tsvetkov expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov and his team for developing the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, which supports socially significant causes.
‘With the new truck, we will be able to provide more efficient and organised waste removal services across the municipality, including the town of Zlatitsa and the villages of Karlievo, Tsarkvishte, and Petrich. This will benefit a population of 5,077 people,’ said Mayor M.Eng. Tsvetkov. He added that the new truck will be equipped with measuring sensors to track the amount of waste generated by each household. According to this data, the residents will be required to pay a waste fee based on the ‘polluter pays’ principle once it is implemented.
Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD, emphasized the importance of the long-term partnership with Zlatitsa Municipality and the commitment of Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov and the donor companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP to supporting the sustainable development of Srednogorie region.
‘In July 2024, we signed the second framework agreement to support social impact projects in Zlatitsa Municipality. Today, we reaffirm our commitment by delivering two of the promised donations. I am confident that we will continue to support the municipality in future projects that foster development and benefit its residents,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers.
The ceremony was attended by M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov, General Production Director, and M.Eng. Ivan Kunchev, Director of the Flotation Complex at Ellatzite-Med AD, along with senior managers, employees from the companies, and municipality officials.
With a solemn blessing service, Father Yordan Georgiev consecrated the new machines, while Mr Dominic Hamers presented the keys and special donation certificates to M.Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov.
