Humanitatis Causa Award
On 26 September 2019, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov received the highest award of the Management Board of the Union of the Blind in Bulgaria – HUMANITATIS CAUZA Statuette and Appreciation Certificate. They were given in recognition of his significant contribution to the social integration of visually impaired people.
The award was established 15 years ago to acknowledge the social responsibility of people and institutions and their empathy and compassion for the blind. Since then, only two awards of this kind have been conferred.
Prof. DSc. Eng. Voutov received the award from the President of the Union of the Blind in Bulgaria Mr. Vasil Dolapchiev. Among the official guests attending the event was Mr. Asen Altanov, Chairman of the Regional Organization of the Blind for Sofia and Pernik Region and Member of the Management Board.
