In 2018-2019, Ellatzite-Med AD implemented a project for upgrade of the Grinding Process Information Management System in the Flotation Complex, Mirkovo village.

The integration of the new system includes optimization of the existing algorithms controlling process components and units, as well as the implementation - for the first time in Europe - of CYCLONEtrac PST subsystem patented by CiDRA Minerals Processing, USA. The system provides real-time monitoring and particle size measurement of the final product in the ore grinding process.

The upgrade of the Grinding Process Information Management System with the CYCLONEtrac PST system has brought about an entirely new level of control, management and optimization of particle size tracking in the flotation process.

This project has contributed to improving the company’s energy efficiency, quantitative key parameters and recovery of valuable mineral components. By adopting the new technology, the production facilities became more reliable providing maximum performance precision.

The new system inter-operates with the General Information Management System of Ellaztite-Med AD.
