In 2019, Geometro Zemlyane Consortium with a leading partner Geostroy AD and Transremontstroy EAD and BIAS-M EOOD as members completed the project for design and construction of Zemlyane Metro Depot. The facility is used for rolling stock maintenance and a train stabling area for Metro Line 3. The project is financed under Operational Programme “Transport and Transport Infrastructure” 2014-2020.

Description of the project:

The metro depot is partially situated on the territory of the existing Zemlyane Bus Garage. The works completed under the project include: construction of 400 m metro rail lines, a train shed for 26 trains, а two-level repair shop, а four-storey administrative building with 20 parking spaces, a garage for specialized vehicles, a heating station building - a boiler compartment, a train wash on a separate track, а 98-m long manoeuvre track, a “hot reserve” spare track, a separate track towards the open space storage area south of the repair shop, a power substation, open space storage areas, etc.
