Description of the project:
The project includes design and construction of a covered storage facility for metallurgical waste generated by the activities of Umicore Med. The total area of the storage is 3 200 sq.m. Its walls are 4 meters high with built-in steel plates for protection against demolition by loading machines. The steel roof structure and the walls are coated in LT-sheet steel and PVD-screen for protection from the aggressive environment.

- reinforcement – 190 tons
- HDPE smooth liner, 2 mm thick – 14,050 sq.m.
- steel structure – 205 tons
- steel plates, 20 mm thick – 27 tons
- demolition of reinforced structures and elements – 14,050 cub.m.
- crushing of reinforced concrete pieces and separation of construction steel – 14,050 cub.m.
- demolition of concrete structures and elements – 21,630 cub.m.
- landfilling of contaminated concrete – 21,630 cub.m.
- construction of an asphalt road – 1.3 km
- construction of an asphalt platform – 2,100 sq.m.
- loading and transportation to a landfill of contaminated soil – 4,100 sq.m.
