Geotrading builds a new solar power plant at ProAuto Multifunctional Complex
The new solar park has an installed capacity of 82.72 kWp, which makes it Geotrading’s largest PVPP to date. ProAuto Multifunctional Complex uses the latest generation of eco-friendly energy saving solutions and together with the yield from the new photovoltaic power plant, the share of green technologies in the complex reach almost 50%.
The new installation saves carbon emissions that would be released by the consumption of 13 tons of diesel fuel, by a petrol car that has covered 142,000 km, by the annual electricity consumption in 7 houses, and by charging nearly 2.3 million mobile phones.
The first two Geotrading’s PVPPs were built on the rooftops of ProAuto Service Centres in Gorublyane Quarter in Sofia and in the town of Etropole in 2021. The total electricity generation from the three photovoltaic power plants is 157 MWh.
The construction of the solar park is another investment in the green ProAuto Multifunctional Complex, which is certified according to the British standard for sustainable buildings BREEAM 2013 with a Very Good rating. ProAuto uses less water, electricity and natural resources, generates its own energy and provides excellent working and leisure conditions in compliance with the highest requirements for a healthy environment.
The project is in line with the current trend to stimulate the construction of RES installations in urban environments, which optimises the areas used for clean energy production. In the first four months of the year, they have produced almost 100,000 kWh of green energy.
