Geotechmin OOD and its employees donated a new children’s playground to the Social Rehabilitation Centre in Etropole
A new children’s playground was officially opened at the Social Rehabilitation and Integration Centre (SRIC) in the town of Etropole, thanks to a donation from Geotechmin OOD through the Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme and personal funds raised by the company’s employees.
The Mayor of Etropole M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov expressed his gratitude and joy by saying, ‘I am incredibly happy when new kids’ playgrounds open because they are so important to our children and our community! This is another successful project implemented under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme that Etropole Municipality can be proud of.’ He also announced upcoming plans to enhance the urban area, which include expanding the Elderly Care Home.
Among the official guests at the event were Mr Dominic Hamers, Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD, M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov, Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med AD, M.Eng. Vasil Shishkov, Director of Ellatzite Mine Complex, M.Eng. Tsvetoslav Petkov, Executive Director of Geostroy AD, as well as many employees of the companies.
‘This project is particularly important to us because it was made possible not only by funds donated by Geotechmin OOD through the Bulgarian Virtues Programme, but also by the generosity of our employees who joined together for this cause. We hope that this playground, built by our construction company Geostroy AD, will bring joy to many children for years to come,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers. He thanked the SRIC team for their inspiring idea and commitment to doing good.
The children from Edelweiss Kindergarten performed a heartwarming recital and a musical programme focused on kindness and benevolence. With a cheerful greeting, the children from the Day Care Centre – Botevgrad also took part in the event, making it even more special.
Mrs Valentina Gercheva, Director of the Social Rehabilitation and Integration Centre in Etropole, expressed her gratitude to the benefactors for their kindness and generosity by reading a thank-you letter to Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, founder of Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme.
