Geotechmin Group started the construction of an open-air summer cinema in Etropole
With a solemn water-blessing ceremony and a symbolic first sod, GEOTECHMIN GROUP commenced the construction of an open-air summer cinema in the town of Etropole. The investor of the project is Ellatzite-Med AD, the designer is Geoproject EOOD, and the contractor is Geostroy AD. Construction supervision is carried out by Strojnadzor-NSN OOD.
The project was presented by M. Eng. Vladimir Alexandrov, Deputy Director of the Mine Complex of Ellatzite-Med AD. The site will consist of a new building with an open-air screening room, a coffee and pastry shop with an outdoor seating area, as well as sanitary facilities. The summer cinema will have a 12 x 5 m projection screen and the 160 spectators’ seats are amphitheatrically arranged in 8 rows. A children’s playground will be constructed next to the building. There will be 17 parking spaces as well as 16 bicycle stands. ‘The complex will contribute to the even more beautiful townscape of Etropole. The area around the summer cinema will be planted with suitable tree species, decorative bushes and flowers,’ said Mr Vladimir Alexandrov and wished success to the construction crew.
‘This is a historic event because generations of citizens of Etropole have been waiting for its implementation. I wasn’t born when the old cinema burned down. I thank the investors and especially Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, President of Geotechmin OOD, for the decision to start this project. I would like to thank you on my behalf and behalf of the citizens of Etropole,’ said the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Etropole Mr Marin Marinov. And he added, ‘The elders probably remember that the old community centre was located in this place. It was built with donations, and I am glad that again people who invest not public, but private funds, will do something good for our town. We have always been leaders of the Bulgarian revival, always relying on a rich spiritual culture. I am happy that the spirit of revival is alive in figures like Prof. Voutov, who invest their means in the spiritual development of people.”
M. Eng. Tsvetoslav Petkov, the Chief Engineer of Geostroy AD – the contractor for the construction of the summer cinema, said: ‘For us, as builders, actions should speak louder than words. We are especially committed to this project. We will bring it to a successful conclusion and complete it on time.’
The event was attended by the Mayor of Etropole Mr Dimitar Dimitrov, Deputy Mayors Mrs Stanka Dimitrova and Mrs Rositsa Hristova, representatives of cultural and educational institutions and many other prominent citizens. On behalf of the GEOTECHMIN GROUP, among the attendees were M. Eng. Stoil Dimitrov, General Director Production, M. Eng. Ivaylo Nikolov, Director of Mine Complex, Mr Vladislav Trashliev, Manager of Geoproject, directors and employees of Geotechmin, Ellatzite-Med and Geostroy.
A special guest at the event was Mrs Ivanka Grabcheva, an eminent public figure and a dedicated advocate for the construction of the summer cinema. ‘After the fire of the splendid community centre, for which the people collected money penny by penny, today is the beginning of a very important cultural period. I am now 93 years old and would love to see you all together again here and at the opening of the summer cinema. We owe all this to Prof. Tzolo Voutov, and I sincerely thank him for taking care of the citizens of Etropole with his noble actions.’
Father Emil Yakimov from Etropole Monastery blessed the construction of the summer cinema with a solemn water-blessing ceremony.
