GEOTECHMIN GROUP signs new agreements with Etropole, Mirkovo, Chavdar and Zlatitsa Municipalities to implement social impact projects
Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, initiated by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov and four companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP – Geotechmin, Ellatzite-Med, Geostroy and Geotrading, has started a new 2024-2027 programming period. Through donations and employee volunteer work, new high-priority projects will be implemented for the local communities in Etropole, Mirkovo, Chavdar, Chelopech and Zlatitsa Municipalities.
Framework Agreements were signed between the municipality mayors and GEOTECHMIN GROUP’s representatives. At special events, the Mayor of Etropole Municipality M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov, the Mayor of Mirkovo Municipality Mrs Tsvetanka Yotina, the Mayor of Chavdar Municipality Mr Grigor Daulov, the Mayor of Zlatitsa Municipality M.Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov signed the new agreements with Mr Dominic Hamers – Executive Director of Geotechmin OOD as a representative of Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov and the programme’s founding companies.
On behalf of Ellatzite-Med, the events were also attended by PhD Eng. Ivaylo Nikolov – General Director of Ellatzite-Med, M.Eng. Stoil Dimitrov – General Production Director, and M.Eng. Vasil Shishkov – Director of Ellatzite Mine Complex.
‘The results of the projects we implemented over the last three-year period are evident to everyone. I would like to remind you of the first completed project in Mirkovo Municipality under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme – the donation of a new car for the social patronage, made personally by Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov, to deliver hot lunch to elderly and needy residents,’ said Mayor Tsvetanka Yotina. She emphasized that the envisaged funding for the municipality will be equally distributed to all 5 villages to ensure that GEOTECHMIN GROUP’s contribution will benefit all residents.
In Chavdar Municipality, Mayor Grigor Daulov thanked Geotechmin, Ellatzite-Med, Geotrading and Geostroy on behalf of the municipal administration and local residents, paying particular attention to the great success of the already completed projects.
‘The new framework agreement will facilitate the implementation of a project which will solve Chavdar residents’ most pressing problem – the low water pressure in some neighborhoods during the summer months. We continue to conduct preventive health check-ups to local residents. Every year, this service is used by 400 people that amount to more than one third of Chavdar village population,’ said Mayor Daulov.
In Etropole Municipality, M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov expressed gratitude to the programme’s founders and added, ‘Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme is unique not only for our region, but also for the entire country. As Mayor, I am absolutely delighted to have the honour to sign the new framework agreement with GEOTECHMIN GROUP to work together for the advancement of Etropole Municipality. Through the projects financed in Etropole, the local residents can enjoy a lot of benefits and live better, happier lives in their town,’ said M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov upon signing the agreement. He highlighted that the donated funds will be invested in projects in the fields of education, infrastructure, culture, and for the newly established municipal utilities department.
Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme will continue to support Zlatitsa Municipality as well. ‘We are so grateful for everything the four companies have done for Zlatitsa Municipality. I strongly believe that in the future we will walk together hand in hand to set and achieve new higher goals,” said Mayor Lyubomir Tsvetkov.
During the events, Mr Dominic Hamers emphasized the importance of the Bulgarian Virtues Programme for the municipalities of Srednogorie and Etropole.
‘Four years ago we supported the municipal authorities of Etropole, Mirkovo, Chavdar, Chelopech and Zlatitsa to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic and anticipated consequences. Then the first framework agreements were signed. For 5 years since the inception of Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme, we have implemented more than 170 projects in the spheres of infrastructure and improving the urban environment, education, healthcare, environmental stewardship, helping vulnerable groups, supporting talented children, etc. I am sure that, with the new Framework Agreements, we will help the municipalities to implement more new projects with lasting positive results for the local population,’ said Mr Dominic Hamers.
Furthermore, another framework agreement is about to be signed with Chelopech Municipality which is currently selecting relevant priority projects.
