GEOTECHMIN GROUP invests in green energy self-consumption projects
‘GEOTECHMIN Industrial Group has been making substantial investments in electrification and renewable energy technologies for self-consumption,’ said Mr Konstantin Delisivkov, Manager of
Energeo EOOD, member of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, during the discussion Energy Security of the Countries in the Region. The debate was held at Green Week 2023, which is the largest forum dedicated to the green transition in Central and Eastern Europe. The event was organised by Dir.bg for the third consecutive year. President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, European commissioners, ministers, ambassadors and business representatives were among the official guests attending the forum
‘The company Energeo EOOD, which I represent, offers integrated project management solutions for renewable energy and energy storage projects. It is very important for us as representatives of a large industrial group to have predictability in regulated costs,’ said Mr Delisivkov. He added that traders, as Energeo EOOD, are the connecting link between producers and consumers. Electricity traders play a crucial role in the electric power system. They forecast and balance RES production and final energy consumption, they bear and secure the risks, administer the relations between producers, consumers, energy market and system operator. Furthermore, they finance the purchasing of electricity for consumers and nowadays our traders are intermediately financing the state-granted compensations to business consumers,’ explained the Manager of Energeo EOOD.
‘We are striving to provide a complete set of tools to consumers in order to be protected from price fluctuations and volatility as a key factor of energy security,’ said Mr Delisivkov. In conclusion, he emphasised that it is very important to ensure predictability in the regulatory framework and its main components, because planning is not made on an annual basis, but it is a long-term process. ‘Basic industries have a broader horizon in their business planning, so if we want new investments, we also need to have predictability in energy costs,’ the Manager of Energeo EOOD concluded his message.
