Geostroy signs a contract with Metropolitan for a new metro station

Geostroy and Metropolitan signed a contract for design and construction of a new metro station between Lyulin and Obelya Residential Districts.
The metro route will start from Obelya Depot and will include a covered aboveground metro section (154 m), a covered metro ramp with three types of structures in total length of 116.35 m, a tunnel built by the ‘cut-and-cover’ method (281.22 m), and a tunnel along the existing railway line which will be built using the ‘Milan method’.
The contract scope also includes all related systems and installations – a railway track, a third rail, external and internal water supply and sewerage systems, HVAC, transport automation, a dispatching system, telecommunications, external and internal electrical installations, etc.
The contract was signed by Prof. PhD Eng. Stoyan Bratoev, Executive Director of Metropolitan JSC and M.Eng. Tsvetoslav Petkov, Executive Director of Geostroy AD. The time for contract completion is 36 months. The design works are currently underway. Once they are complete, the actual construction works will start.
