Ellatzite-Med celebrate Miner’s Day with concerts in Etropole and Mirkovo
Ellatzite-Med, part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, celebrated National Miner’s Day with festive concerts on the central squares in Mirkovo village (23 August) and in the town of Etropole (24 August).
15 local folklore ensembles, Stefan Valdobrev and The Usual Suspects together with the host Maggie Dzhanavarova raised the spirits of the audience with incredible energy, making most people stand up and dance joyfully to the music of their favorite singers and performers.
Mayor of Mirkovo Tsvetanka Yotina and Mayor of Etropole M.Eng. Vladimir Aleksandrov congratulated all mining industry workers, their families, and veterans on their professional holiday. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Ellatzite-Med and the companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP for the long-term partnership and successful social projects completed under Bulgarian Virtues Charity Programme. In front of all attendees, the directors of the Flotation Complex and the Mine Complex M.Eng. Ivan Kunchev and M.Eng. Vasil Shishkov expressed their deepest respect and recognition to all current and former employees for their tireless efforts, wishing them plenty of good health and to follow St Ivan Rilski’s testament ‘Be united and have peace among you’.
In the presence of Ellatzite-Med’s management team and representatives of local authorities, Prof. DSc. Eng. Tzolo Voutov wished good health and prosperity to all mining industry workers and their families, and outlined the company’s long-term vision and sustainable development goals. Prof. Voutov and the Executive Director of Ellatzite-Med M.Eng. Dragomir Draganov emphasized the key role of Ellatzite-Med’s team and local communities in the implementation of the project for extending the mine life until 2041, which will provide long-term employment for the people in Etropole and Srednogorie Municipalities.
