Landfill For Calcium-Arsenate Cakes
After the closure of Small Lagoons Landfill for waste slurries due to exhaustion of its capacity, Umicore Med entrusted Geotechmin OOD with the construction of a new landfill for calcium-arsenate cakes. This was the second stage of the project for capacity enlargement of the Small Lagoons..
The landfill design is fully compliant with Ordinance No.13/1998 which transposes the EU Landfill Directive and Ordinance No.26/1996 on Rehabilitation of Contaminated Sites.
The total area of the landfill for calcium-arsenate cakes is 14 decares and its volume is 68,000 m3.
