31 schools and community centres receive valuable book donations from Geotechmin and Ellatzite-Med

and Ellatzite-Med AD donated more than 1,300 new books to 31 community centres and schools in Sofia city and Sofia region. Among the recipients of these books are Svetlina 1921 Community Centre in Slatina District in Sofia, as well as 14 schools and 16 community centres in Srednogorie and Etropole regions. The donations are part of the companies’ corporate social responsibility programme Culture and National Identity.
A wide variety of children’s, contemporary, historical and philosophical literature written by Bulgarian and world classics, such as Ivan Vazov, Dora Gabe, Leda Mileva, Anton Donchev and Hans Christian Andersen, filled the shelves of the school libraries and community centres in Slatina District in Sofia, Etropole, Mirkovo, Zlatitsa, Pirdop, Dushantsi, Anton, Kamenitsa, Bunovo, Smolsko, Petrich, Chavdar, Chelopech, Karlievo, Tsarkvishte, and Koprivshtitsa.

personally stand behind the initiatives for enhancing young people’s spiritual growth, cultural development and sense of national identity.
Culture and National Identity is a long-term programme which was launched in 2012 with the intent to support the young generation in the regions of Srednogorie and Etropole where the companies operate. Over the last 9 years, Geotechmin and Ellatzite-Med have donated more than 30,000 books to schools, community centres and kindergartens and have organized numerous cultural events attended by prominent scientists, writers, poets and artists.
