In addition, 27 large bridge structures in total length of 2,985 m are to be erected, four rest areas, 16 local and agricultural road crossings as well as numerous infrastructure networks and communication crossings.
For the first time in a motorway project in Bulgaria, Intelligent Transport Systems are envisaged to be installed and integrated in the new Lot 3.3 section. They provide innovative solutions for vehicle counting and classification, real-time traffic management, weigh-in-motion and weather monitoring stations.
